At Indiegogo, we’re proud to empower entrepreneurs and creators to bring their ideas to life through the power of crowdfunding. However, we also recognize that some campaign ideas are more feasible than others, and some campaign owners may face challenges in bringing their products to market even when their campaigns are fully funded.
The Guidepost Program is an initiative to proactively review campaigns prior to launch and ask pointed questions to gauge the ability to fulfill.
Our trust and safety team monitors select campaigns for the viability of product delivery. We evaluate campaigns on common predictors of success, including complexity of prototypes and plans for fulfillment.
When campaigns go through this review and seem unlikely to meet our criteria of success, we’ll share best practices with them.
Our trust and safety experts will request from these campaign owners to provide evidence upfront. This proactive step has the aim of reducing fraudulent activities on our platform.
