Entrepreneurs Explain Why They Launched on Indiegogo
“When you work on something that you’re really passionate about, and that is your dream, it makes you really proud,” says Julie Kronstrøm Carton, founder of MATE e-bikes. “To see the whole Indiegogo team working with us and helping us achieve that dream, has been awesome.” MATE has raised $22 million with two crowdfunding campaigns.
Will Indiegogo be home to your next hardware idea? In this video, entrepreneurs talk about why they chose Indiegogo to launch their products and how the Indiegogo team helped them get the most out of their campaigns.
Even though these entrepreneurs have different products and different backgrounds, they all found support every step of the way. “The best part of launching a product on Indiegogo is that they have a full series of services that cover you from beginning to end,” says Jeff Wu, Marketing and Growth Lead at Segway-Ninebot. “It’s a great way to learn more about our product, and also about our consumers.” Segway-Ninebot has raised over $4 million with three campaigns.
“Working very closely with Indiegogo campaign strategists, I’ve found that they’re able to provide new initiatives that make my digital marketing much easier,” says Brian Pan, Integrated Marketing Manager at Segway-Ninebot.
Is your company based in China? Indiegogo specializes in helping Asian companies break into global markets with the Indiegogo China Global Fast Track Program. The video includes testimonials from entrepreneurs that have taken part in the program. “Many of Indiegogo’s campaign strategists work very closely with the Asia-Pacific, and that has been very beneficial in helping us market ourselves here in the US,” says Brian Pan.
“Due to language differences, customers might have some trouble with communication. The Indiegogo team has coordinated to solve this problem,” says Edison Shen, Director at Padmate. “We would definitely recommend Indiegogo to Chinese companies.” Padmate has raised over $4 million with two crowdfunding campaigns.
Regardless of where they hail from, Indiegogo is the home of dreamers big and small. “You can basically have a small dream you want to realize, and you can build a campaign on Indiegogo based on that,” says Christian Adel Michael, founder of MATE.
